At The Table

Last night we kicked off all of the many youth programs we have at Sugarloaf. I have been fortunate enough to lead the 9th and 10th grade group. Despite my worries and nerves, the program went very well. It's funny how that works. People get nervous. I understand that, but I get worried about stuff. And I'm always wrong. I guess I can call it nerves if I want to. Or I can call it what it really is. Distrust, lack of faith in God... I'm glad that I'm always wrong though. It builds the faith. It shows me that God is God and this is His plan and I'm just a part of it because he has chosen me to be. That's life, not just youth ministry.

I can't wait to get back into the apartments next Tuesday. God had me elsewhere this summer but I missed it none the less.

On a totally different note, I feel like God has something big planned. It's like something is about to happen that's going to change my life tremendously and I have no idea what it could be. Whatever it is, I'm excited about it.

pray for all of this stuff. I would appreciate that.

Untitled

A few months after I graduated from Forsyth Central High School I went back one night to walk the campus. I walked around for about 30 minutes just praying for the students and for the work that God would do there. I truly felt a burden on my heart for the school and sensed that God was going to do something great. Yesterday, nearly a year later, I did the same thing. Why? Because God does this crazy thing where He works out His plans His way in His timing. What a sobering truth! I began a church partnership today at Newsong Community Church which just happens to be directly across the street from Central High School. We are going to be starting campus ministries at Central High and Otwell Middle. God has opened the door... He's opened it wide! And He did it on His own for His glory cause He's God and I am not. So, if you are reading this, please pray for the schools. Pray for the students and pray for Newsong Community Church.
Grace to You
Kevin
